Long Beach Art Trucks

You may have heard about Banksy‘s recent adventures in New York, including this installation in the back of a box truck

Well… There must have been something in the air, because the Arts Council for Long Beach has also been cooking up a mobile art-trucks event in celebration of Long Beach Arts Month!

The Long Beach Art Trucks will be hitting the streets for THIS WEEKEND ONLY (October 19th and 20th), and will feature installations from local artists selected by Long Beach curators Betsy Lohrer Hall, Hilary Norcliffe, and Jeff Rau (of Sixpack Projects). Featured artists include: McLean Fahnestock, Frau Fiber, Vav Vavrek, and P. Williams.

Saturday, October 19th the Art Trucks will be parked on Gladys Ave (just north of Anaheim St) in support of the open studio event at the Gladys Ave Artists Co-op from 4-7pm.

Sunday, October 20th the Art Trucks will travel to the corner of Atlantic and Artesia in support of North A LOT performances, and the concurrent Taste of North Town Long Beach food festival from 12-4pm!

Don’t miss this opportunity to check out these unique mobile exhibitions!
